Secure Password Generator – User Guide

Basic Usage

1. Generate Password
   • The password generates automatically when you first open the page
   • Click “Generate Password” to create a new random password
   • The password will appear in the text field at the top
2. Copy Password
   • Click the “Copy” button next to the password field
   • You’ll see “Copied!” confirmation for 2 seconds
   • Paste (Ctrl/Cmd+V) wherever you need the password

Customization Features

🔒 Password Length

• Use the number input to choose length (8-64 characters)
• Default is 12 characters (recommended minimum)

⚙️ Character Types

• Check/uncheck these options:
  • Uppercase Letters (A-Z)
  • Lowercase Letters (a-z)
  • Numbers (0-9)
  • Symbols (!@#$% etc.)
• At least one option must be selected

Security Tips

1. Always include multiple character types for stronger passwords
2. Use longer passwords (16+ characters) for sensitive accounts
3. Never reuse passwords across different services
4. Consider using a password manager for secure storage

System Requirements

• Modern web browser (Chrome/Firefox/Safari/Edge)
• JavaScript enabled
• Internet connection (for initial load only)

Troubleshooting

❌ If password doesn’t generate:

• Ensure at least one character type is checked
• Verify length is between 8-64

❌ If copy button doesn’t work:

• Check browser permissions for clipboard access
• Manually select and copy (Ctrl/Cmd+C) as alternative
